BCSO will hold a contest on the Daily Hive Instagram account from January 21 - February 11, 2020 where entrants can enter by following @findanortho and tagging a friend in a contest post. Every week during the contest period, a Prize ($1000) winner will be selected by the Daily Hive. Winners will be notified by Daily Hive and receive a gift certificate of $1,000 CAD towards orthodontic services from a BCSO member in good standing.
(b) How to Enter
Entrants must follow @findanortho and tag a friend in a contest post. The Contest begins at 6:00pm Pacific Time ("PT") on January 21, 2020 and ends at 11:59pm PT on February 11, 2020 (the "Contest Period") after which time the Contest will be closed and no further entries shall be accepted.
(c) Eligibility restrictions
The contest is open to any member of the public that resides in the province of British Columbia, including existing and new patients of BCSO members. Should a winner be selected that is under the age of 18, a parent/guardian's email will be requested for verification. Participants agree to abide by applicable federal, provincial, local laws and regulations.
A prize of $1,000 CAD will be awarded weekly during the contest period. Winners will be randomly selected by the Daily Hive based on the Instagram photos submitted during the contest period, or based on tags on BCSO contest posts.
Prizes have no cash value. No substitution of prize is offered. Prizes may be transferred to a third party if the winner does not require orthodontic treatment. However, the name of the third party must be given to BCSO prior to treatment. The name on the gift certificate and the person receiving orthodontic treatment must be the same.
The prize will be awarded only upon winner verification and approval by the British Columbia Society of Orthodontists. The weekly winners will be notified via their social media accounts, and their email (as well as the email of a parent/guardian should the winner be under the age of 18) during the contest period. The winner will then have fourteen (14) days to accept and respond with their information. If the winner is unable to be contacted within seven (7) days after being selected or is ineligible, the prize will be forfeited. Upon accepting the prize, the winner agrees to have his/her name and photo published on the British Columbia Society of Orthodontists' channels, as well as commits to any external media obligations regarding the contest, should they arise.
A winning certificate must be used within one year after the prize has been claimed. Expiration date will be indicated on the gift certificate.
